Have just had a pint the Old Boro in Swords.
The staff have just been informed that the pub closes on August th 19th and ownership transfers to JDW on the 20th.
No further news but for anyone who knows the Boro it is almost JDW ready.
This may be one of the few times JDW have purchased a staffed/running/going concern!
We will wait and see what the new management are prepared to do for us and when the plan to re-open, and also we could consider a venue change.
Holy crap that was quick. What about 44 main st or the pound maybe?
I was down in the old boro earlier, it was great to hear that JDW are keeping all the old staff.

There is a meeting between staff and JDW scehduled (iirc) for Friday, They will be asking about the future of NCB meets as we are in the book for September!!
