Title: TOG Brewday - Saturday 9th August
Post by: Shane Phelan on July 25, 2014, 10:21:40 PM
Venue: Tog, Chancery Lane, Dublin 8 (www.tog.ie)
Cost: Free (Donations will be accepted, by tog or the capital brewers)

Format:
Brewing -  All Grain, possibly Extract and a Kit
Beers - I'll be bringing a few of mine, hopefully others can bring theirs
Building - Has anyone got anything they might like to build during the event (ie a stir-plate perhaps)?

Kick off at 10:30 (finishes around 4.30 depending on the complexity of the brew's), see you there! If the weather is good that weekend we can plan out the logistics for a full barbecue for breakfast and lunch. We can see about that closer to the time.

A very rough time-line of a brew day is as follows:

10:30am – 11am: Heating water, water treatment and mashing grain
12pm – 1pm: Boiling, BBQ, beer tasting from previous brews and visitors beers
    2pm – 3pm: Cooling and clean up

01. Shiny (Mooching, might bring the wireless temperature system if someone wants to see it)

I'd be up for doing a brew that day. Hope to do a Weissbier  next will just get all my ingredients together.
Probably will make a dark wheat beer for the craic as have some dark grains there. Any ideas are welcome

Ill be along Saturday for the early part of the day. Might bring an IPA is I can figure out how to pour from the keg without oxygenating the beer

Awesome! I will have the place open before you arrive. I'm going to be bottling the cider tomorrow that is finished fermenting in TOG at the moment. I'm going in there this evening to add the sweetener and flavouring.

Ridiculously short notice but I have put up the post on the TOG webpage (http://www.tog.ie/).

Ciaran I have packed those hops for you. I nearly have as much equipment with me for bottling as I normally bring for brewing.  >:(
