Title: O'Dell's tap take over
Post by: Rossa on August 01, 2014, 10:52:44 AM
I was in the porterhouse central last night and they had some incredible O'Dell beers on draft. The Fernet-aged porter and the First Collins collaboration with New Belgium were bloody impressive. Get them while you can as I don't think they have many kegs.

I see from the twitter machine that against the grain are doing it tonight so box it off and tell the family you won't be home. Doug O'Dell is knocking about town too. Former homebrewer turned pro in the early 1980's? You might be able to corner him (I'm thinking about you Dempsey!).

They are also doing a tasting tonight in McHughs off license in Kilbarrack. Just up the road from the house, so I know where I'll be this evening :)

Yeah, quite sweet but a lovely aroma and flavour from the hops comes through. Even the fiancée, who really dislikes the bitterness of an IPA, though it was interesting.
