Title: [Sold] All Grain Kit €150
Post by: Shane Phelan on August 10, 2014, 11:46:05 AM
Selling off my tried and trusted kit to make room in my apartment for the new arrival. Would like to sell it together and it needs to be collected some evening from Ballsbridge.

1 * 33L Brew kettle (2 elements, hop strainer, tap, kettle leads)
1 * 34L Mashtun (tap, manifold, tubing to reduce the mythical hot side aeration)
1 * Copper Chiller (tubing included)

The brew kettle was modified and now has two 2kW elements and a pair of heavy duty kettle leads (C15 Spec (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEC_60320)). I cut holes in the lid so that it can chill with the lid closed as seen in the photos.

I'm including tubing with the chiller but no tap attachment as I need it.

Mash tun is able to hold temperature to within 1 Degree but the lid needs to be covered as it contains no insulation, I just use a duvet. The mashtun can hold enough grain for a 10% beer at an absolute (overflowing) push!  ;)

Sure :)

As said, I'd be interested. I'll be back on Tuesday in Dublin and could pop up in the evening to collect. Is 150 your last price? :)

Not budging on €150. Go onto HBC (http://www.thehomebrewcompany.ie) and add up the cost of the components, extra elements, tubing and cables. You will find it will cost you around €300 to buy this new.

Cool, provisionally sold. I'm at lock-picking in TOG on Tuesday night, does Wednesday evening suit?

I was wondering the same. Is he getting a brewmeister or a fecking sprog  :P I know which I'd prefer, and it doesn't wake you in the middle of the night!

Add a timer to the Braumeister and I'm sure it would wake you.
Works out much cheaper than a sprog too!

The question is, can I get it to fit the NHC babygro ????
