Yes but on the plus side i don't need to use as much hops for bittering. :P

All joking aside Greg, you should probably consider filtering that! Are you on a well or mains?

You can try to get some RO water from local pet store.

I wouldn't feel comfortable drinking a glass of that and to think you will be paying for it soon. >:(

Drinking that and you could be paying for it soon in more ways than one!

I assume the yellow colour is coming from the water and the bucket is not stained from previous brews?

How does the water taste? I'm not sure what I'd do in your case. If it tastes ok I'd probably just boil away? I've seen much worse water. The water in my in-law's house is brown! All the copper pipe in the house is corroded to shit! Anything that comes in contact with the water goes brown and stays stained brown.

@Jacob, do the pet shop provide containers or do you bring your own?

Not sure, you can always ask. I used my own 25l canisters that were previously used to ferment cider.

First pet shop I used it was a case of buy the 25 litre container and get the water free so €10 for 25 L and then its €5 a fill.

If you just bring your own then typically its €5 for 25 L

BTW: Tell them its for brewing as one pet shop sells treated water for the fish tanks either a fresh water blend or a salt water blend!
