which are great for acting as overflows for my fermentors, also useful for storing my empties ;)
Not for food stuffs though!

Get yourself a solar pump. It costs a bit more than 5.99 but its a deadly piece of kit. I use it for everything - moving water from my HLT to mash tun, whirlpooling, transferring to secondary & transferring to prime/bottling bucket.

The demon middle aisle in Lidl, any man with an ounce of testosterone has been lured by the Lidl mermaids onto the rocks of the shiny cages. Its like a peep show, until you get outside and ask yourself, what was I thinking? ;D

I am banned from going there now as she is sick of the "but we really need it" story, only to find it under the sink in a week or gathering dust in the shed.

ok to make you feel better uses for your drill pump;
1) siphoning petrol
2) watering the garden from a water butt
3)...errh thats about it really!

this time I just happened to be physically in the building !!

I know this a really old thread BUT with the all this talk of charging for water I use one of these for driving water through my IC and back to a water butt.. Takes 15/20 mins on full speed and recirculates the water.... If that's any use to someone :)

used to use this for my immersion chiller, recirculate ice water for the 50c-25c bit... but I used it at the start of the chill once and connected up the wrong way, hot steam/air melted the inside of the pump!
