Roughly how long does it take to get through, and once through is there anywhere to get breakfast and/or a pint?

Didn't take long last time I was there. There is a shop, a very small shop but I can't remember much more than that.
It's pretty efficient, normally in the region of 30 mins to 1 hour, depending on how many flights. After you get through your just in a departure lounge though, so not much in the way of a cooked breakfast or bar.
Allow an hour to get through. There is a small duty free shop and a kiosk the far side, best get breakfast and a pint first.
To speed it up you can download the customs declaration form and have it already filled out before you get to the airport.

Thanks gents
Used it twice, max of 30 mins even with the guy been a bit of an arsehole the second time.
Not a huge amount once you go through but enough to keep you fed
Tis bloody excellent though. Walking off the plane in the States and only having to pick up your bags is brilliant

Bottles of Bud and Bulmers IIRC :'(
I go through five or six times a year. Seems these days you need to get to the airport at least two hours early. In July, two and a half hours is very tight. There is a crappy bar I think and a crappy food place. Much better than the old preclearance area.
Pay attention a bit to scheduled departures. For example, there seems to be flights on a couple of different airlines that leave at 10:30 am. These clusters can create big queues, so it's worth noting.
