Title: Old kegs as boilers?
Post by: bigvalen on September 19, 2014, 06:08:42 PM

I had a look at http://m.wikihow.com/Turn-a-Keg-Into-a-Brew-Kettle and it has piqued my interest. I want to build a new HLT and a Boiler.

But...is there anywhere you can get old kegs ? Do the get scrapped ?

John

kegs remain the property of the brewery.
but the way i see it is if i find one on a riverbank or in a ditch, you're just picking up someone else's litter like a responsible adult...

You can often pick them up very cheap on adverts.
