Title: Is this normal
Post by: ngavin2001 on September 24, 2014, 09:18:41 PM
I have a mangrove jacks kit on at the moment it's been in the fv since the 6th Sept I dry hopped on the 13th a few days later the airlock stopped dead no temperature change I took the hops out on the 20th and the airlock kicked off almost straight after I didn't disturb much bar fishing the bag out??

Also I have 2 hydrometers and one is reading 1.010 and the other is reading 1.010 I don't know which one is telling the truth!!!

It's pretty normal for things to kick off a little after being disturbed. It might even just be some of the excess co2 leaving. Just give it a few days to settle again and bottle away.
You should be ok to bottle even now, but best to be sure it's finished fermenting.

And it sounds like both of your hydrometers are telling the truth ;)
But you can check them in water at 20C and they should read 1.000
