Title: How long to leave beer condition

Is there any issue leaving beer for 3 months to condition

Bottled both a Bulldog Cobnar Wood (5.6% abv) and a Bulldog Double IPA (8.5% abv) a couple of weeks ago. Was planning on leaving them in the bottles till Christmas.

Have a St. Peter's Red Ale in the FV, again planning to leave till  Christmas.

I know from experience that a lot of beers I've done start to come good 6+ week but is 3 months too long.

General rule of thumb is the higher the abv or the darker the beer the longer you leave it to condition,for instance stouts age better than an IPA(in general). If your sanitation etc was spot on and brew day went as it should those beers will be fine leaving until Christmas providing the are stored correctly. ;D

The one thing i will say is that with a highly hopped beer such as say some sort of IPA the hops will start to lose their freshness past the three month mark. ;D It will still be a good beer just not the same hop punch. ;D
