Title: WOT No Sherry!
Post by: Will_D on January 10, 2013, 10:13:32 PM
Just about to enjoy a bowel of Heinz Tomato soup!

Now my dad (Grocer and Vintner) always said that tomato soup needs a slug of sherry to liven it up!

Libster Bisque; Brandy!

Any way Tomato soup and no sherry.  :-[

Look in drinks cupboard and someone has opened my bottle of Jack Danniels! Hmmm - may as well try it?? Result: Great soup!

Then came the last of the Misses Xmas pud!

Also needs a little boost in the abv stakes ( even tho' no WATER is allowed in our pud - its just Arthr .Gns. and Jameson )

So tried the JD and the required double cream? Result Great Pudding.

Now this story does have a brewing related ending:

I now have an OPEN bottle of JD that will surely have to moisten some oak chippings or even one of my wine barrells.

For what I ask myself? I must wait and see!
