Well Lordeoin might get upset if I hijack his thread but it was his fault that got me to finally move on my rebuild so I will start my own :).
Last week saw me demolish my old garden shed and do this.
Hope to lay the floor Thursday :)
put in an extra waste water pipe before laying the concrete.
you might never need it, but i bet you'll want it later on for bringing in a network cable or leading some beerline outside or something.
and of course you'll only want these kinds of things after you've laid your flooring...
Excellent. Best of luck with the build and keep us updated with loads of photos. I need to do my own shed eventually as well, so look forward to the progress on this.
dancing pole!
I notice you were talking about kingspan on the other thread, U Value in Ballycoolin is the best value and they sell to the general public

+1 on that. Used them a few times. They don't open Saturdays though unfortunately..
Being mullacking all day ready for the concrete delivery tomorrow. Despite the rain got the sink drainage in and not connected to the surface water as some idiots do. Levelled the area and laid a bed of sand and then the visqueen and then the insulation :).
Tidy job Brian. How's the concrete being delivered? Ready mixed bags?
In a truck,a big one with a BIG pipe to pump it in. :)
Pah! That's cheating.
I thought you'd be wheel barrowing it in from bags.
You can piss in the sink

Surely he wants to be barrowing the aggregate and hand mixing it with bags of cement :)

Looking good Dempsey ;)
Dube, what's with this fascination of yours with jax's? :P
Mixed 2 ton by hand for the foundation and shifted 2 more ton of sand for the base so fooked if I am mixing 2.5 cubic metres of concrete :'(. Man with 200mm pipe connected to a BIG lurry is what I want. :)
Yep, if there's an easier way :)
Dube, now I get ya! Dempsey don't forget d'jax, v. Important.
What u building in, block or timber frame?
Remember what the 3 little pigs did ;)

Where are you putting the jax? Don't wanna be dragging mud into the house every time there's a session in your shed and I need a slash. Although I could just wiz in the garden?
When you step outside the door the drain for the waste from the washing machine is right there ;)

Fair play. You going floating that floor?
Yeah! It's a bit rough..
Oh the memories ;D
Never mind the power float! I'll bet there's a stash of Italian travertine tiles waiting for this one.
Well done Dempsey, it's lookin great.
Keep it lit!!!
this might cheer you up after a day of concreting:

Should not there be some pipes sticking up through the slab like for water, power and drainage?
Bastard. Burst out laughing in the office when I watched that! :D

All in. power already in direct from fuse board.Water is on the wall already too and the white pipe you see in one of the pic's near the ladder is the waste. Decided not to install a floor drain. Might regret that but life has them :)
And there's more
Why have you two doors? His and Hers loos?
Only joking.. looks great..!
You'll regret inquiring about the Love Den..

Looks great! Was gonna tip over to you today but got caught up on a training course.
What's the training course. How to brew :P
and we progress
Sorry I didn't reply to that text Dempsey, mad busy. Anyway, the license to brew costs €500. :P
An architect friend of mine put me onto this website, some serious brew porn set ups, don't share the site with the mammys or it could end up costing you lots as there are some serious house designs,

The work goes on,
Serious shed envy here brian...my metal one is the bane of my life at the moment...should of went block myself
15 degree pitch as per my side extension.Because its a hipped roof and not very wide you do not see too much roof from the road which I like. :)
Looks great Dempsey :) Is the velux window going to be your chimney? I'd love one of them in my garage.
Are you using slate or tiles on the roof? Tegral's "Melburn" slate will go down to 15° or Roadstone's "Centurion" tiles will go to 10°.
Using condron tiles. Same as my house.
You've lots to do...Get back to work! :P
i looks good :)
22.5 is min pitch for condron slate tiles and pan tiles although with decent battens and nails it probably won't be a problem in your lifetime.
A leave it out. Dempsey isn't that old. ;)
How about a urinal?
http://houzz.com/photos/18630352
;D ;D
roof tiles on . next week the ridge tiles and plastering the outside walls.
Mr D:
You have been working the little round bits of of yer self.
Looking great BTW!
However: Now is the time to start planning the Inaugral Brew Day Piss Up to wet the brewery's head
I will. Imark and I were discussing a dart board and other entertainments to add. :)
Hope de plannin office hav ok'd dat development !
