Poll
Question:
When do you want to have the next meet up?
Option 1: 17 October
votes: 2
Option 2: 18 October
votes: 1
Option 3: 31 October
votes: 9
Option 4: 1 November
votes: 2
Option 5: Other
votes: 1
Where, why, what, when?
Stick a pin in the calendar or start a poll.
Should hopefully be able to make this one this time, only thing I might have to bring is a cider. Or I could bring a karl strauss big barrel double ipa I won over in the states, it's been staring at me in the fridge long enough.
My cider and ales need a bit longer to be perfectly conditioned but I might bring two wee bottles of the cider to try it.
I've left 24 / 25 October off the poll as (I think?) that's the FW Oktoberfest weekend.
Would it be too much to suggest fancy dress meet for Halloween (31st)? O0

I look very spooky all year round.
It's looking like this Friday the 17th.
Unfortunately I may not be able to make it.
I can't make this Friday either :(
@FG, what part of Cork are you from?
From Carrigaline.
Well, not originally of course as the name implies.
Ah, so you've got some Belgians then? Any sours?
Will I get in touch with the Fran Well? 5 to 10 bods by the looks of it.
I just finished my first brew but no sours yet :(
Hopefully some day.
My first brew is a Belgian style amber ale but it still needs an extra fermentation on the bottle so will be ready in about 8 weeks.
A golden ale is currently fermenting but will take a while too.
I can't make this Friday but would love to attend the next meet up.
I have two ciders ready but they would need a bit of time as well in my opinion as they're very gassy now and time will make them a lot better
I can't make it this Friday, as will be away supping ale in London.
Can people who are definitely going on Friday stick their names down, so we can confirm numbers? 5 people voted for Friday, but need to gauge if that many are actually going, as maybe some people voted for a few options or are now not going.
I had voted to 17th, but personal circumstance don't permit, so the number is 4.
Realistically the 31st is the next slot for me.
31st for me as well.
I've modified the poll to allow you to "remove" your vote then vote again.
I'm tied up myself this month :(
Is this turning out like the election in Hong Kong?
31 October just came available for me as November 1 became unavailable as I'll be with Sam (Maguire) that day.
I'm not too fussed either day suits me, I'll go with the consensus, my beers would definitely be ready for the 31st which might be better.

I wish mine would be but it will be January at the earliest for mine.
31st conflicts with my plans to trick or treat. gotta get the candy while you can... ;D

Maybe a candied beer would do? Thinking a sweet ale with honey and coconut?
I would almost set aside part of a future brew to experiment with that.

I'd have only given one choice then. :)
31/10 is good for me. I think I even voted for it in the first place.
31st good for me (at the moment). Tomorrow not so good
Seems to be a consensus for 31st, so let's go for that, as gives people plenty of notice to plan ahead.
I'm going to put in a small order with HBW or HBC.
Does anyone need anything? I can bring it to the meet on 31st.
I believe theres something on this Friday. O0
Fran Well, 8ish?

Actually had a small change in plans and forced to go to Dublin on Friday for my passport.
Hope to be back in time for the meet
I'll be there. Said it to Noel when I was in on Sunday, so we are booked in.

Great. I have no beers ready yet to bring but can I bring anything else?
My brew will be ready next meet.
No worries, they have beer on tap in the Well...
I'll be there to.
Looks like I'm able to make it Friday. I've been lurking here for a while so It'll be nice to meet some of you. Is it OK if I bring a couple samples?

Samples are always welcome!
What time is kick off? 9?
On my way back from Dublin now. Won't be back in Cork till 8-ish and have been travelling since 5am so I'm afraid I will have to give tonight a miss. Will be there next month for sure with my first brew.
8, 9 - anytime really
I spotted LordEoin on the way to a Fancy Dress... >:D

i would realy love to make it to one of these , but difficult with public transport and all that jazz . anything to be said for a sunday afternoon session ?
As I'm from Midleton, I generally stay in a hostel in the City.
Sleep it off and head home in the morning.
Nearest Hostel to Fran Well is Kinlay House - EUR15 - 10mins walk
sounds good , the chances of falling asleep on the bus after a responsable feed of drink is quite high lol
...plus theres the chance of falling asleep in Parnell Place, waking in time to see your last bus depart!
not admiting to anything like falling asleep on the bus and being woken by the driver in the bus depot in skibbereen ....thankfully he did give me a lift most of the way home
