Title: AG kits for BIAB?
Post by: DCLavs on October 09, 2014, 05:09:55 PM
Can AG kits be brewed using the BIAB method or would more grain be needed for BIAB because of lower efficiency?I see a lot of AG kits out there and have emailed a couple of suppliers but got no response.

lower effeciency with biab is bull**** i never get below 70% and its usually about 72 or 73%, i got a DIPA kit from the homebrew company and its based on 72% effeciency. the main thing is do a long mash around 75-90 minutes and then sparge the bag with a few litres of water. and be extra vigilant with your volumes and gravity readings.
