I did the HBC IPA earlier in the year - was very impressed - entered it into the nationals - it scored around 37 - very respectable.
yeah, the HBC AG kits rock
I got the freebie - brewed it along with another 3 all grain batches in the past month. Have been drinking it the past week or two
Its got great body - like some of the Sierra Nevada IPAs. Its not a bad beer at all but I've become too used to massively dry hopped recipes now. Its lacking in aroma for my taste, but is a good representation of the style.
They have it listed as 6.2% / 40 pints. Im guessing people just reduce the batch size to make an actual DIPA?
i got one too and bottled it a few days ago. smelled and tasted great out the fermenting bucket. throw up some pics and a review when its finished
Have to admit this is growing on me. The Bruphoria bag doesnt smell nearly as strong as three ounces of pellets (or the 6 I used in my past DIPA) when its in secondary, but as its matured the aroma/ bitterness has settled beautifully.
I'd buy this one again be very happy paying for this
I bottled mine today, treated lovely coming out of the fermenter, I'll be getting this again!
