the shenanigans that go on between brewery and tap in the US is a shambles anyway, mostly down to the distribution.
watched a great documentary about it at some stage but can't for the life of remember where it is or what its called.
edit - it might have been Beer Wars (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1326194/) on Netflix. maybe...

Although the biggest issue I'd have is with the supermarkets who look for "hello money", which could be as much as half a million. Though they all swear they've stopped the practice.

You could argue they're already factored into the price, one way or another, the consumer pays for those things.
I've heard Coors are paying for pubs Sky Sports here in return for taps.
Guinness have been doing that for years
Yeah the Macros have always been at it, its just shitty to see them to get Fran Well on tap instead of real craft beer.
