Sorry, can't make it this month guys. Should have some good beers for next month though.
No probs, Bruce.
I think this month's meet is dead in the water. Just wait until next month?
Is it too late to join in?

Hi Conor,
Rossa has expressed an interest in joining us and if the last visit was anything to go by he will bring along a few beers.

Sure thing. 3 people sounds more like a party. See ya tomorrow so.
Late entry... Bring along honey Hefeweizen, Clovis Hefe and the APA that was too young last time. Let us know if we're going ahead

Nice flavour off that pale ale last month! Looking forward to tasting it with a bit more carbonation.

Nice one Rossa. Can we assume that once again, the beers you're bringing are just too numerous to mention!? :)
Yesterday I told the landlord in the DH we were going to have a Sierra Nevada clone at the meet tonight, so when we give him the nod he's going to send down a few tasting glasses of the real deal so that we can do a side-by-side comparison! No pressure at all, Declan! 8)

Jesus, this is getting interesting... a battle of the clone beers! :D
I'll have a good root and see how many the bag will hold!
nice one!
See if you have a SN clone at home? ;)
At the corner table in the bar lads.
Wow, that was a terrific collection of beers tonight lads. Standout for me (and it's tough to pick just one..) was Cathal's sierra nevada pale ale clone. Who cares if it's a clone, it's just a terrific pale ale. Great toasty malt flavour and a nice layer of cascade over it. Well done lad, a masterful beer!

Yes it was a very nice beer indeed. I was at pains to understand why my own was so underwhelming. I knew it was darker, and I can even accept that it was not clear due to the shake n'vac routine while marching do the Dark Horse. What I can't understand was the complete drop off in hop character. Must go back to school me thinks :(

Something like that is a fun idea for a meetup or brew day. Get everyone to prepare their own version of a recipe and notes on how it was brewed, then do a taste off.
Actually, having everyone do a small batch of the exact same recipe could be even more illuminating...
