Not sure what to look for. What do ye think of http://www.gasproducts.ie/acatalog/Large_Square_Gas_Boiling_Ring.html
Hi Jack,
Yes that is the burner of choce for most gassers!
Just make sure to get the adjustable butane regulator for the republic. That allows much better flame control than the fixed pressure one.
Thats what I use with the regulator Will mentioned.
I also use that one and no problems at all with it
thanks lads for the reassurance. It was dumb luck to find it!
do you guys mean this regulator? http://www.gasproducts.ie/acatalog/LPG_Kosan_Jumbo_Clip-On_Butane_Gas_Regulator.html#aHA118K
Hey JackFlash,
If you are unsure on anything they are a great company to deal - I rang them when I was ordering and they talked me through what else I needed to get set-up eg hose length, regulator type etc based on going with Butane or Propane.

thanks lads. Ye are all so helpful here :)
Quick question, the air clamp on this burner http://www.gasproducts.ie/acatalog/Large_Square_Gas_Boiling_Ring.html there is about a 1 inch open area after the valve. Is this normal? It's called the "air clamp" in the instructions.
Normal.
The had is forced through a jet in here, the air clamp is where the gas mixes with air, adjusting the air clamp changes the gas to air mix and changes the temperature of the flame.
A blue flame is what you're looking for.
Brilliant thanks John, much appreciated.
