Cheap kettle at 70 inc shipping. Looks like element is in a well covered by a removable disc. Trub may end up burning on element. As a water heater 70e and 2 yr warranty seems gud value.....but maybe quality is shit.
Bought It! sure im kinda BIAB as it so im just going to go with it, well when you consider the cost of this (not saying anything againist HBW BTW) http://www.homebrewwest.ie/brupaks-electric-boiler---polypropylene-29-litres-3087-p.asp
Same boiler at 3 times de price....one wonders how it goes from 49.99 in germany to 179 in ireland....sonething is very wrong here. So are hbw making 129 euro profit on a 49 euro item? if so thank god we have ebay and dhl to let us shop for proper value. Clearly in this case hbw are not gud value
I see you point on the Trub, im currently using electric for Strike water and gas for Boiling. Was going for one of them shiny insulated mash tun buts it smaller i need to go not bigger. All in one mean less mess. Now i wonder whats it like at holding temp.
I should be able to bang out 20-22 litres per batch(4-6% 4-6kg) i reckon, its not for big beers i agree. See if there anyone else out there using one, wants to share their exp on them.
Looks good considering it has a built in thermostat also. Does anyone know what boiler you get with the HBC biab pack as that also includes a chiller for 100
