Title: Site outage
Post by: admin on October 31, 2014, 01:49:35 AM
Again tonight. Just back. Maybe time to consider moving/moving back to a more reliable hoster.

Wasnt aware of an outage myself, was on forum  till ten ish doing membership stuff, worked grand .
Blackknight have been very good so far, particularily impressed with their support - its virtually instant - which is very rare.

Still having that unread post and reply issue Partridge,it can't be my cookies or cache i reckon since they are cleaned out at least twice a day and tbh this is the only site i am having this particular issue with. ;D

What message were you getting?
A screenshot would be useful.
Maybe not now but for the next time it happens.
I looked on Blacknight and there was no mention of any outage but can chase this with them.

Maybe the forum needs a reindex.

I am just off the phone from Blacknight and they have not had any issues with the server we are on.

The outage in the OP is not backed up by anything detail which makes it a little difficult to follow up.

If anyone does come across this going forward, please detail it as best you can taking a screenshot of any errors if possible.

@Greg, your issue looks to be localised and unrelated to the claimed outage.

It does not seem like a live issue and nobody else has reported it.
Please screenshot and the next occurrence and we will look closer at the time.

It could also be a dns issue on your side. When you next spot it down, try the link in http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com

We found an error with the replys - a number of topics  (about 12) had incorrecly listed 0 replies. If the number doesnt increase, you wont get notified . We have corrected these topics and the database is now full consistent.
Hopefully this fixes your issue, let us know if its still bugging you.
