i seem to have misplaced my whirlfloc and I've no Irish moss. Is there anything else i could pick up in centra/supervalu that'd do the trick?
Trip to the beach?
A healthfood shop or chemist might have carrageenan moss.
I might know where your whirlfloc is ;) When are you brewing?
Ahh, i left it in your place with me marigolds?
I was supposed to be brewing now, but I have to go to some stupid toy fare thing.
If you're around this afternoon I could drop over and grab it.
@john - do you just use any old seaweed? I thought that it had to be carrigeen moss which i've only see up wesht
A far as I know it's supposed to be carageen/carrageenan moss(a bit like Stephens vs Stephenses day?)
I guess anything that you can make a blancmange with.
Trying to identify this is not easy as there's lots of different seaweeds.
Not too much mind, you could end up with a 23l wibbly wobbly wonder!
Looks like this...

You could use gelatin in secondary 'available on your grocery store'.
