Title: where to get bottles?
Post by: Pat_buttercups on November 09, 2014, 01:12:45 PM
hey lads,
Just looking ahead at this cider fermenting and realize im probably going to be short bottles so dose anybody have a decent source of cheap glass bottles? I remember there was a possibility if the pubs giving them out cheaply instead of returning them for the refund a few months ago

I have quite a stock of bottles -

I can definetly put 20 aside for ya - probably can get to 40 handy enough,

I owe you for hops anyways - I wouldn't go buying bottles - lunacy !

Pubs only get refunds back on pint bottles and soft drink bottles. They're usually more than happy to give any others away as it costs them money to get them recycled otherwise.

Plenty of offers above of free bottles, but if you're ever buying I can recommend Alpack in Sandyford - get my honey jars and labels there  ;)
