Title: Replacement STC 1000 probe??
Post by: ferg on November 18, 2014, 03:16:42 PM
Almost finished putting it together and I've only gone and lost the probe! Any brick and mortar shop I would get in from so I don't have to wait for another amazon/ebay order?

They use an ntc type thermistor you could try Radionics

Is it worth stating where you are based and when you would need it? Someone might lend you one until you source one..

Sorry for the delay Fergus, my android screen broke and now I'm fluting around don an iphone hence the dodgy link,
This guy VerySupple at the bottom of the thread gives the details of the thermistor required, it's a 10k ohm NTC Thermistor he says it needs to be beta 3435.

Radionics doesn't give a beta rating, but at €2> you could take a punt, the sensor is low voltage so you can solder/tape join a bit of cable on and try it out?
