I'm currently drinking Hurricane IPA by Eight Degrees Brewery in the new Woodworkers bar beside Laverys! They have a selection of rotating craft beers and its a refreshing change to 'spoons.
Have any of you been here yet? I've seen them building it for the past couple months and I think it just opened on Monday.
I know I'm completey new to the forum but could be cool to get involved for meets there or something...
Cool sounds good!
Think we're pretty much sorted for a venue but you could ask, out of interest, next time you're in?
Only heard about this place yesterday, from someone in work. Sounds good. Wonder if they're connected to Laverys in any way.
Maybe it could be a venue for the pre-xmas pint?

Sounds good to me :P
Yeah it's definitely connected to laverys. You can see right through the offie to laverys from the bar. You can even get 7oz and half pints if you want. There's a pool table too. There's an upstairs I haven't been to yet so no idea what's up there.
Cheeky gits!
Was in there yesterday for a few pre-gig pints. 5 fecking fifty a pop!!
I asked the girl at the bar how come all the craft beers on the board have suddenly gone up by a pound since the last time I was in, about a month ago. She gave me some bullshit about rotating range, different pricing blah blah. I was drinking a 4% pale from Galway Bay, not some painstakingly crafted Belgian type thing. Seriously pissed off and won't be back in a hurry. It's a shame; I genuinely like the bar and the beers but I'm not some complete idiot who's happy to pay the price of a small lunch for a frigging pint. The hipsters with their thin trousers and oversized beards can have it to themselves.

Well that's one place off the list for my next trip up,£5.50/€7.76 per pint, shove it they can, that is bloody ridiculous :o
I was there a few months back definitely wasn't that expensive. Shane.
Ah balls, I've just gone in there again. £5.50 is now the fecking minimum. Fecking flip.

FFS.........getting ridiculous!
Was in Lavery's Saturday in the "Woodworkers" craft bar section and got a slate of 4 x7oz of what they had on tap for £6,will be posting up a review of same in dues course, they had a Saison on tap also but it was vile(to my palette anyway). ;D
Having been at the Woodworkers on Thursday night and the new Brewbot pub last night - wallet decidedly light this morning!
Thank goodness for homebrew.
How was the Brewbot pub?

Called in late Saturday night. Good crowd. Lots of beards. Fishbowl/brandy style glasses. Tasting tray looked interesting and will definitely be back to try it out.
Good selection of beers on tap and in bottles, but pricey.
Mrs Q_M had heard they had Left Hand Brewing Milk Stout on tap - but gone by the time we arrived. This is her current fav since a recent trip to Chicago (and reason why I now have 50L of a clone in FV1).
Had a Blackjack stout from tap and a bottle of Of Foam & Fury - both good.
Good selection by the sounds of it! Do they brew their own as well?
