Anyone out there doing this?
Was thinking of dropping in a few oak chips to a dj....good or bad idea?
Go for it! Barel aged one we've tried last yeast was excelent. Put chips in some vodka first ...
I'm adding all kinds of rubbish to my brews recently! Go for it I'd say. I have a Strawberry Sherbet as well as an Orange and Lemon Sherbet Cider on the go at the moment. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
i've tasted some nice ciders that were aged on berries.

Is the vodka for a flavor or sanitisation method?
Have some p***een, would suffice???
I ages some of last years group buy cider on sherry oak chips for a few weeks and it was very tasty. You pull some of the sweetness from the oak so if you plan on back sweetening it I would recommend doing this after the chips.

Sanitisation. P** will work same as any other strong spirit.
