Does anyone have a tried and tested Marzen recipe???
Brewtus does an excellent marzen. Think he uses Jamil Zainasheff's recipe..

Is there anything jamil doesn't do :)
This is jamil's recipe:

Pretty much 50/50 munich and pilsner malt. I brewed a few times a few year's back. It's a tasty beer but very much in the copper-red, sweet Oktoberfest vein, sort of like the White Hag one actually.
Biertourist had a thread on Beoir about Oktoberfests as well a while back:

He was thinking of something between the Jamil style O-fest and the Paulaner etc. ones we get here which have a more munich sweetness than a Helles or a Pils but a lot less than the US craft O-fest.
