Title: Oak cubes
Post by: winstonia on January 14, 2015, 06:21:48 PM
Anyone know where I can get these, ageing a stout and want to some them in some Jameson and throw them in?

Anyone have any experience doing it before?

Not sure if this is the right section

Ive got red wine barrel oak cubes. These are cubes now, not chips. I chopped up a load of barrel staves I got from Kelly Wine Barrels in Tipp. You could make them work for you, soak them in whiskey, chop off the wine soaked part.

If you want some I can send some.

HBW have loads of different chips in stock:   http://www.homebrewwest.ie/index.asp?function=search

Really? Yeah I'll take them if you're offering. I'll sort out any costs. I'd prefer chunks as well, use them when smoking on the bbq. I'll sort ye out with a few bottles when done.
