Title: Hello from Belfast!
Post by: robotmonkey on January 20, 2015, 01:12:11 PM
Living in Belfast, took up making a variety of wines, beers, cider and spirits about six months ago and haven't stopped!

Started my beer with a 5 gallon extract kit from Nature's Way which turned out pretty well. I've now just bottled my first two 1 gallon batches of all grain beer with another to be bottled next weekend :-)

Looking forward to chatting to people on here and getting some tips!

Hi and welcome robotmonkey!

What beers have you brewed?

If you can make it down to a meet you'd be more than welcome.

I got one of the Brooklyn BrewShop kits for Christmas (Summer Wheat) and got the book also (The Brooklyn Brew Shop's Beer Making Book: 52 Seasonal Recipes for Small Batches) so I've done the Apple Crisp Ale and the Bourbon Dubbel. I think I fudged the first one due to not realising that a US gallon is different to an Imperial gallon. Doh!

When is the next meeting?

Hi RM,

There's a voting thread going on here atm, closing later today:

Looks like Thursday Feb 5th in 'Spoons is the most likely contender.

Cheers,
