Title: Amber ale kit recommendations?
Post by: LukeH on February 21, 2015, 11:56:18 AM
Hi I'm hoping to start my first beer kit soon and hoping to make an amber ale similar to 8 Degrees Amber Ella or Kinnegars Devil's Backbone (I love those beers).

Does anyone have experience with amber ale kits and could recommend one?

I was thinking something along the lines of: http://www.homebrewwest.ie/youngs-american-amber-ale-36-kg-beer-kit-3958-p.asp

you could also hack something like the coopers australian ale with some crystal and hop it up with ella

That might be a bit beyond my skillset at this time - I've no experience with brewing so I'm going to start with a kit and follow the instructions. I do hope to progress to all grain brews in the future though.
