In order to do a Lager competition the timing of the event will need to work with the weather cycle ???.
You gonna organise and run it?
You know I was in favour of the lager side of things, being good to have a comp around that to promote lager brewing.
However, I was thinking about this again and our conversation and this might work - we could do a German Beer Competition - this gives some range for those that don't have refrigeration and still covers a good bit of the lager categories.
I like the sound of that.. I'll sign up to organise if delzep can give me some pointers or running a successful comp. I wouldn't have a clue where to start bar posting an announcement on the board.. We could have a chat among everyone on Thursday
Thursday is a good time to chap about this. I am in for helping to run this too. :)
So we're talking about a bjcp competition in this case right?
I think we should agree date and style so it's not overlapping in style or clashing with already scheduled competitions. German/Lager wouldn't float my boat but on the other hand it's unlikely to have been snaffled already. What about a sour/speciality competition?
Are we going to repeat the interclub comp like the one we did with Belfast last year. That's was great as the clubs competitors undertook the judging and it wasn't hampered by pre defined style guidelines.

That was my whole reasoning for choosing that way... Many hands make light work etc. I plan on doing a repeat this year.
Good stuff. Got a date in mind yet?
