Any of you guys brew 'Get 'er Brewed' mash kits yet?
Any thoughts on it.
Going to stick it on tomorrow.

I won one in a raffle geterbrewed did.
Bottled it 10 days ago.
almost sure OG was 1075 and FG was 1016.

Tasted a btl of it over Xmas and very nice stout.

I brewed with 3 more liters than what was advised plus mashed at 69* and not 68*.

Just brewed up the 'mad cow stout' and like the fool i am forgor to stick in the whirlfloc tablet.
Hopefully it won't make too much difference in a stout.

I entered this into the NHC 2015 competition and both judges had marked it down due to astringency.  I don't know much about stouts but from what I understand this can be down to the recipe from mashing too much roasted grains (one of the judges wrote something to this effect).  I thought the beer was OK but based on this I prob wouldn't get the kit again!
