Just been to the chippie in town(Dungarvan) and as you do i took a detour to an offie in a supermarket, picked up Guinness Dublin Porter and West Indies Porter and Hilden Brewery Headless Dog Amber Ale. 8)
The two Guinness were 2.49euro/500ml,the Hilden 2.99euro/500ml,then i look over and i see Sharps Doombar which i have had nothing but bad luck with and i asked they guy how much,3.70 euro/500ml :o
Jaysus Doombar must be top line craft beer all of a sudden,i remember paying just over 2 euro for same bottle not 7 months back in a different offie, but Christ on a stick how can they justify charging that for a run of the mill macro brewed amber ale ? I think this is oone of those "crafty tax" instances and they are happening too often. FYI vendors charging double does not make the beer twice as good ;)
