Title: Stainless Fittings
Post by: Sorcerers Apprentice on March 04, 2015, 09:05:23 AM
Can anyone recommend a supplier of threaded stainless fittings in Dublin, I'm looking for a few 1" bsp half sockets and don't fancy waiting for Chinese postage

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, would Micro Hydraulics have anything suitable? (One of our affiliates)

Thank Pob I had looked at their website but couldn't find regular threaded bsp or NPT stainless fittings, I know mybeerandwine have some fittings also but basically I was looking for a more of a plumbing type supplier.

Most of us use "FloMax":

www.flowmax.ie

On the Old Naas Road, D12

If you are North Side:

Total Stainless:

www.totalstainless.ie

Note they have moved nearer to me!
In the Malahide Rd industrial estate and a bugger to find!

Thanks guys, I was recommended to BSS on the South Circular Rd, by an ex work colleague. They carry stainless fittings but only BSP.
Select Dublin from the drop down menu below

I rang both total-stainless and BSS both have the 1" sockets but total stainless were about €1.50 cheaper at €4 each

I dropped into Totalstainless today, thanks Will, you weren't joking about it being difficult to find !! Really nice helpful guy on the trade counter. If you are looking for the place it's near to Matress Micks place on the Malahide Rd

When I was over on holidays in the states I bought a few low watt density heating elements, they have a 1" nps (national pipe straight) thread but they fit 1" bsp perfectly. I only needed a couple of 1" sockets to have welded into my keggles. They carry some 1" NPT fittings plus dairy fittings. They said they could order in whatever I needed.
