*Commando: For the younger readers its a reference to the Sunday World "Pub Spy" columns that I used to read when I came over wit the misses for the holiers!
BOT:
So for a meet up with te best selection it has to Fowlers.
I will have to meet the man and see what's what
So thats Sunday sorted then.
I WILL be proposing a Mon/Tue/Wed meeting date - What say ye?
All sounds good to me
I believe you can get anything in from the off license in Gibneys by the way (or at least that used to be the case)
I'd imagine on a busy saturday night this simply doesnt happen, but on a quiet tuesday ...
A Tuesday would be perfect and with the summer approaching, the train trip out would be just lovely altogether :)
As Tuesday is a good day for the NCB I would suggest also another Tuesday for this meet. I couldn't get to talk with Gibs or Fowlers so will have to try tomorrow! Oh the things I do for craft beer.
From the range alone I would favour Fowlers!
Oh man, 18 minutes on the Dart from Raheny. Happy days!
Its all the same with me as well
- whatever you can get !
So talked with Derek (the younger) Fowler and they are happy to host us.
Tuesday is their quietest night.
So what about the first Tuesday of April, the 7th from 7pm?
So who is up for it:
1. Will_D
Just moved to Malahide and have an IPA, porter and brown ale to share! Unfortunately I can't do the first Tues of April (I presume the 7th, not 3rd?) but will make sure I keep a couple of bottles for another meet up. I'm about to try my first wheat beer brew too, so might even be able to bring that along sometime. Will there be any get togethers coming up in the next few months? Would love to make it along to one.
Cheers,Matt
Wife's birthday (7/4) so will have to see
Assuming the 7th, I'm at the scd meetup the thursday before, so might not get free. I'll confirm on the day if thats ok.
7-04 malahide

So who is up for it:
Tuesday April 7th : 7pm
1. Will_D
2. Jolley Brewer

4 Richie- any swords crew want to share taxi???
Can't let the opportunity of a quick jaunt on the DART to a NCB meetup pass, count me in. Presume you do the usual format? Show up. Bring beer. Talk about how good other people's beer is while secretly knowing that it doesn't hold a candle to your own.

Sounds good. Will confirm closer to the date though. Few things in around then.

Great Meet up last night - Some great beers in there !
As James said a great night and it was good to see some new faces.
What a great turnout!
Now for the next one in Malahide are we still good for the first Tuesday?
Or we could have Swords on the 2nd Tues. and Malahide on the 4th Tuesday?
For me it makes not great difference SWMBO will always say "What another beer meeting!"
I think from talking last night the two meet ups could become a regular thing!
So its NCB.East and NCB.West and not a "Berlin Wall" in sight!
Anyways lets see how it goes
BTW:
TCF Stands at €130
Sounds like it was a great night. Sorry I couldn't make it.
fantastic XD
sorry i missed this one but i should see you next week XD
So we had a meeting in Swords tonight - 15 people including some newe faces!
With regard the timming of the Swords/Malahide meets it was agreed that a two week gap is better than a 1 week. So that means the 2nd Tuesday is Swords and the 4th Tuesday is Malahide.
Now as we need to deliver the ingredients I would suggest the next Malahide meet is in 2 weeks time i.e the 28th.
Called over to Fowlers yesterday to see how the last meeting went from their point of view!
The response was "What a great bunch of brwers, polite and well behaved", "Drank a fair few pints of crafte they did" etc etc
Was that really us?
Anyways no problems with us meeting there :)
We meeting next Tuesday? 28th?
Jeasus, is that round already, need to step up the brewing for all these meets !!
