Title: Kegerator Tap Question
Post by: Qs on April 01, 2015, 02:36:41 PM
I bought a couple of taps from aliexpress that came with shanks and barbs but the barbs which look a bit like the one below are quite a bit skinnier than my hard beer line that I use with my JG fittings. I'm not at all confident that a hose clip is going to be strong enough to seal this. What do I do now?

You'll probably have to use beer hose instead of the JG compatible beer/gas line. You'll need barbed disconnects too & jubilee clips.

Can I get a JG fitting for the shanks?

I'd say that 3/16". You can get the pvc tubing (5mm ID, 8mm OD) on Amazon. Just got 20 metres of it myself. Haven't tested it yet but it fits 3/16" fittings nicely.

Does that stuff work with the JG fittings Vermelho?

I was also looking at these lads https://www.aquasoft.ie/?213,female_adapter_bsp_thread_quarter_by_three_quarter_bsp_thread Would one of them work instead of a barb on the end of the shank?
