I don't know if it is allowed to promote oneself on this forum but I will deal with the wrath if it isn't
Hello,
I'm Alain host of RocknBrew. I'm starting a contract brewing project very soon. I'm ready to go just waiting for a brewing date from the brewery. The project is Radikale and you can follow us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/radikalecoork?ref=hl and Twitter at @radikale_brews for more info on the release of the first beer. It should be in May.
My First commercial release is Hopster single hop an american pale ale. It will be quickly followed by Rubenesque a Belgian Dubbel that won a gold medal in the NHC in 2013.
Exciting time ahead, well at least for me. :D
Slainte.
Nice one Alain, congratulations and welcome to the world of no sleep!!
I had enough sleep for a lifetime. Next stop is when i'm in the grave. Thank you.
I have a tattoo professing something similar lol and in the words of Peter Sellers (in Michael Caine's accent) "not a lot of people know that"
Thank you Tube.
I'm afraid to ask where does he have that tattoo?
But he is very much in line with Radikale brewing so I don't really care where the tattoo is.
Congrats again Alain. The very best of luck with the venture.
Thank you John, and further more thank you for helping me to drink shit beer and making them worse with your siebel kit on good friday.
I'll let you know when I release the beer.
Alain
Good luck Al :) That Imperial Red you had the other night would be a good addition too ;)
Thanks Garry, I know I really like this one. But it needs a little tweaking. Will be working on that this week end.
Good luck with it Alain, looking forward to giving it a whirl
Love the show as well!
Thank you Kevin, the first batch was brewed last Tuesday, It should be available in 2-3 weeks.
Great stuff. Will you be bottling it or will it be in kegs only? And will it be only down in Cork?
Reckon a few bottles could make it up to Hollands in Bray maybe??

I'll do my best to have it in Bray. Thanks.
My very first commercial beer is getting bottled as I type this. I'm like a proud papa and getting all emotional. Now the hard part starts. Follow Radikale on Twitter @radikale_brews and on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/radikalecoork?ref=hl
Congratulations, Alain. Any idea where I might get it in Dublin when available? (sorry, no access to Facebook..)
I'll post more on that soon.
Congrats Alain!
Whats with the facebook page? Radikalecoork?
Thanks John, it is https://www.facebook.com/radikalecoork?ref=hl
Do they spell Cork differently in Belgium? I thought it was the Dutch who spoke funny.
Coork - I'll give that name to my next beer!
I'm not sure how that came about, maybe i was drunk when i put the page up.
Fon non-facebookers...
Radikale launch is tonight in Bierhaus Cork at 8PM.
Hello lads,
Radikale will be doing it's official beer launch in Dublin at 57 the headline this coming Thursday 25/6. I'll have both the Hopster and the Rubenesque on tap. The Rubenesque is a former gold medal winner of the Belgian Category at the NHC competition. There will be a T-shirt give away. It should be great fun. Looking forward to see many of you there.
Alain
Had my first bottle of Hopster Single Hop last night (courtesy of my bother-in-law from Cork!), and I'm very impressed. Lovely medium bodied amber coloured ale with a caramel sweetness and balanced hopping and bitterness. Very drinkable, and even at 5.2% was a real thirst quencher - just right for a hot summer evening ;) Even Mrs Parky (who is very selective when it comes to beer) took a liking to it, and gave me instructions to 'buy this one again'.
Well done Alain, superb beer, and a new favorite of the Parky household :)
yeah, I had a bottle at the Killarney Beer Fest and liked it. It has a nice balance.
It's not gone hop mad, and the chinook and malt are nicely balanced.
I've had some other single hop chinook beers and they were nasty toilet duck stuff.
kudos on this beer :)
Cheers guys. Glad you like it.
Is Simon there aka mc hughs off license hipster :)
Had a bottle of hopster with a barbecue last night, very tasty. Well done and good luck!
