Hi Folks, be grateful for any advice on the best beer kit on the market. I'm happy to spend a few £££ to get the right kit from the start but have no idea where to start looking. Grateful for your thoughts.

Hi Martin,
Any of the online homebrew shops have starter packages available for all budgets. I would suggest getting at least an extract/biab(brew in a bag) starter kit for yourself as you will want to move on from kits in a short while!! These packages include boilers, chillers etc, basically all you need to get up and running. The only other thing I will say is read read and read some more. Best of luck with it!
By the way, by going down the extract/biab route you are setting yourself up for all grain brewing in the future.
List some beers that you like
I agree with googoomuck, get a BIAB kit. They're such good value now.
Thanks folks, most helpful.. I like beers but like to try new things so open to suggestions. Yea, I want to get set up from the start rather than a basic kit then moving on in a few months. Any suggestions of where to buy, I live in Northern Ireland.

any of the shops will deliver to you, so the best thing to do is decide on a beer style to start off with and check which company will do the best deal on a kit + equipment + delivery.
Once you've picked a style, post it up and we'll let you know what kits we've had good experiences with :)
Thanks folks, most helpful.

Hi Martin and welcome.
There is a great online shop called geterbrewed who are affiliated with the NHC:
http://www.geterbrewed.com/ (http://www.geterbrewed.com/)
If you join the NHC for a tenner you will get 5% discount from our affiliates
So if starting from scratch its a no-brainer!
Depending on where you are in NI there are two active meetups in Derry and Belfast who host brewdays which are ideal for anyone starting out.
