Title: Hello from the Limerick Lab Rat
Post by: BavarianGal on April 16, 2015, 09:58:01 PM
Hey Everyone :)

I'm new here and I'm having just a little bit of brewing experience with "Keg".
We are based in Limerick and we have done one coopers lager kit, one craft range IPA kit and one All Grain Red Ale BIAB (just in maturing process ;) *nomnomnom*).

I'm living here in Ireland since 4 years now and I remember being very disappointed with the beer selection in the pubs here and I really do appreciate a good variety of GOOD beers based on the culture from my home place.

I have discovered Red Ales and IPAs as my favorites here. I like experimenting and trying out new things!
We'd be happy to meet up with some other home brewers in the surrounding to exchange ideas and shneaky tricks ;)
I was also hoping to get to make apple cider and maybe ginger beer as refreshments for the summer.

Any help and advice is welcome!

Prost :)

Welcome I see your 4 years here were well spent as you know what shneaky means :). At the rate new members are joining from Limerick means that things are beginning to happen there. :)

Howdy Hi Bavarian Gal.
It was nice to meet you and Keg in Ennis!
If you want a cracking Ginger beer recipe, user Eoghan is your man.

Hey DEMPSEY
Yes, it would be great if something would get together in Limerick. Anything else happening in the home brew and craft beer scene seems to happen a good drive away from here.
I need some distraction of work ;)

Hey johnrm

sorry, we had to miss the botteling in Ennis yesterday - unfortunately it was a bit too spontaneous for us.
Thanks for the tip with Eoghan! I'm gonna pester him soon though :)
