Title: Watery beer
Post by: Nibrewer on April 19, 2015, 09:33:57 PM
Hi Guys, this is the second kit I have tried and it yet again tastes of being a watery, weak, sweet brew. :(

Its a Youngs Pilsner same as the last. I am going to taste it tomorrow as I am at work now and if it has not picked up it down the drain again. There seems to be no body in the darn thing.

Well can anyone recommend an nice beer from a kit to lift my spirits.  :(

Did you add DME/LME to the kit or just sugar?

Can you describe the brewing process please?

What was the OG?
How long did it ferment in primary?
How long in secondary?
What was FG?
How did you carbonate it?

From you initial tasting notes it sounds like a process problem!

What was the OG?  Cant remember

How long did it ferment in primary?   Think it was 3 weeks

How long in secondary?   Still in the pressure barrel

What was FG?    As usual wrote it down but threw the piece of paper out

How did you carbonate it?  I have not done any carbonation as yet.
