Title: 2 brews this weekend
Post by: krockett on April 19, 2015, 10:21:20 PM
Did 2 batches today and yesterday - SN Ruthless Rye Clone and a Zombie Bust Mosaic recipe I found on here.

I learned a new trick - making stronger brew and diluting it down. We've reached the conclusion that 6% is too much (being Irish my self and my wife like having more than one or two beers on a Friday), so I worked out how much I would need to add to reach 1056 and 1052 respectively. I've ended up with 28 litres of SNRR.

Only 22 litres of the mosaic though - I had a gloopy mess of pellet trub at the bottom of the kettle (was sent a pack of pellets instead of leaf by the HBC), and my hop filter came off.

I'm looking forward to my next batch.
