Quick question lads - need a couple of washers for me new keggle to fit the tap. Are these available readily from Woodies and the like or do you need to go to a more specialist supplier?
Cheers
I got them in b&q belgard road.
You could also try Abbey seals. Usually very helpful.
Make your own.
You can get cheap silicone baking sheets from heatons or woodies.
I use a short length of 3/4" copper to punch out the centre hole then carefully cut it out, once fitted I use a blade to cut around the washer.
Works well :)
Good thinking! And I popped into Woodies today and all... Couldn't find any washers.
Do they have to be silicone or would any other material do?
I would only use food grade silicone as they are going to be inside your keggle, you don't want any nasties or off flavors introduced to your brew. Silicone wont break down where as rubber washers etc will.
