     Flavour training tutorial


The Brilliant Beer Company, with the support of Beer Ireland is running a single day Flavour Tutorial on Saturday 23rd May in the Franciscan Well Brewery starting at 9.30 am to finish at 4.30 pm

The course will cover
1. Beer tasting
2. Identifying "super taster"
3. Tasting and identifying 5 positive flavour attributes such as esters using FlavorActiv capsules
4. Understanding of the origin and significance of these flavours in beer.

Light lunch of sandwich and soup

5. Tasting and identifying 5 negative flavour attributes such as stale and chlorophenolic using FlavorActiv capsules
6. Understanding of the origin and significance of these flavours in beer.
7. Tasting some sample beers to develop an flavour profile
8. Flavour clinic to review and discuss the possible flavour attributes and how to control them in a beer.

Spaces on the course are limited and will be offered on a strictly "first come first served basis".

Costs – total course including tasting samples and lunch is € 120

It sounds like a great course. She'd kill me though, "nag nag 120 fecking euro on a beer course nag nag nag.....!"

We're having a birthday party for one of the kids that weekend anyway.

€120 is about the difference in buying 50 L keg of comercial or brewing 50 L of good stuff at home!
