Title: Kilkenny craft beer
Post by: jj78 on May 07, 2015, 08:14:20 PM
Well lads.
Heading to kilkenny for the weekend. Anyone got any recommendations for a good bar in town that would serve up some interesting craft beers?

The brewery corner owned by O'Haras is where I would go.

Deffo go with Brewery corner, had the kids with me, so only had one paddle, but the range of taps was impressive(O'Hara's hop heavy was the bees knees!)
Paris texas is a great place for grub, they had a few bottles but It was leffe on tap I went for. The town has come on leaps and bounds beerwise in the last two years!

When ur here try locate a pint of Costellos irish red ale.. Its a lovely pint that goes down a treat! Local man who brews it and ya wont find it outside of kilkenny so its a must try for when ur here..
Ya'll find it inTynans, Dohertys, Bridies Bar, The Pumphouse or Billy Byrnes...not sure if brewery corner has it.
The pumphouse it beside the brewery corner so id suggest popping in for one (at least)  ;)
Enjoy ur stay here aswell   :)

Sound lads for the advice.. was at the brewery and the pump house before moving up through the town. 2 great pubs and a great choice, something for everyone in the group! :)
