Hi all, I'm sure plenty of these topics about setting up kegging have been cropping up over the past few days, I was hoping someone could make sure I'm about the order the correct equipment and I'm not missing anything (or missing out on a bargain by buying somewhere else)!

If your getting the party tap it already has the disconnect out so unless your also gonna set up a tap you don't need that also

If your getting the party tap it already has the disconnect out so unless your also gonna set up a tap you don't need that also
Also the reg comes with the John guest fitting already so again no need to get that. Additional considerations might be for a stout tap and disconnect out if you plan on using stout. For that you would also need mixed gas and a mixed gas reg

Great thanks. Is this how the whole rig is connected?;
CO2 regulator connects directly to the top of the refurbished fire extinguisher (with built in JG?)
Gas line connects to a JG on the CO2 regulator (again, built in JG?) and the other end connects to a JG on the Quick Disconnect In
Picnic tap is connected directly to the Corny
If I wanted to use the corny for a stout, I would need a different type of regulator? Assuming I can just get a mixed gas topup from AJ Edge? Also a seperate Quick Disconnect Out. I don't plan on using it for a stout any time soon, but yes probably eventually.

Yeah so the reg screws directly into the co2 bottle, this then either has a bar or threaded fitting. The one your looking at is threaded and comes with JG . The gas line is pushed into this one end and into the JG attached to the quick disconnect on the other. So that's your Gas side sorted. The beer side for ales lagers ipa etc etc is just a quick disconnect , Beer Line and a tap. This can be a proper pub tap or a picnic tap like you have

No jubilee needed as its a push fitting, like those new plumbing fitting if u know what I mean. Regarding stout, you needed a whole other set up. A different Gas bottle as nitro mix is at too high a pressure for a co2 reg. So bottle of mixed gas about 50 quid, reg also about 50, same Gas lines and best to get barbed fittings with jubilee clips on this set up as its higher pressures, then a stout tap as this has a restrictor plate inside it which creams up the beer
Ok I'll probably just skip kegging stout for the time being. Thank you very much, it's been stressful trying to get my head around this while thing and trying to find the best deals. Do you know of any other bits and pieces I should order while I'm at it?
It looks like the picnic setup is out of stock on the HBC website, so I'll probably get the Quick out, an additional JG, about 2m of beer line and some other tap. Can you recommend something reasonably priced (cheap :D)?

Yeah, have a look on adverts, there are loads of mountable taps on there for pretty great prices
HB Stout is NOT Guiness unless you are a great brewer and have a mixed gas setup. Stouts can be very successfully dispensed with CO2 either via a "sparkler" tap or not.
