Title: Pubs in Waterford
Post by: Padraich on May 13, 2015, 10:34:00 AM
Morning all,

I'm going to be out for dinner and a couple of pints afterwards in Waterford on Friday... I haven't been since I was a kid, so has anyone got any recommendations on where is good for a few tasty pints (for me) and cocktails (for her)?

Thanks all!

I definitely can't say where you will get a decent cocktail but for a decent pint try Geoffs or Downes pub - Good guinness in both. Not sure about the availability of craft beer but you should definitely get the local Metalman pale ale in them, its a great beer. Downes also blend their own whiskey if you are that way inclined  8)

The Kazbar is a cocktail late night place that is listed to stock Metalman beers. http://kazbar.ie/

Geoffs does Metalman but is a bit more of a traditional pub. Aside from Kazbar, Revolution is a few doors down and has about 60+ beers in bottle as well as craft beer on tap and they do cocktails.

Phil Grimes in Johnstown, ca. 600m uptown from Revolution / Geoffs.

Good selection of craft beer, nice and cosy place.
