Title: Strawberries going a begging - Cork
Post by: johnrm on January 24, 2013, 05:34:35 PM
Per January meet, I have a freezer drawer full of hulled strawberries that I never got to turn into a wine.
I think Taf was interested in this, but I need to get this moving quickly as space is at a premium owing to a move.
There was about 10kg, but the kids got to it so about 8kg now.
Hungry feckers.

if there's some left over. I'd love a couple of kilos.
Have a 'Canadian Strawberry Blonde' in mind  ;)

Hi John.

I did express an interest, but I'm just not going to be able to meet you in time, and get them back to my freezer before they melt. When are you moving? Pretty soon if memory serves me right.

Strawbs weigh in at 6.8kg, the kids ate more than I thought  :-?
I will hold on to 500g myself, I will have space to store this amount myself.
Moving Fri/Sat, so realistically, Thursday is that latest availability.
I was speaking with Taf today so they could head Blarney way someday during the week.
If not, Ciderhead is down on Thurs and had second dibs via PM, although they may not survive 7:30am to whatever time CH gets home to Wickla...
Let me know what you think John.
Sorry about that Eoin.

I'd say let Ciderhead take them so, as I was only taking them as I didn't want them to go to waste, and I had room in the freezer, but realistically it doesn't suit me this week to arrange to collect them.

Eoin I am feeling particularly generous tonight and will let you have them if and only if you can

1) Collect them on or before Thursday, John RM needs them gone before then
2) Split them with Taf

If you can't they are coming back to Wicklow for smoothies and Jam  :o

You have 24 hours to post and let me and Johnrm know.

No hassle. As long as they get used, that's all that counts!
