Its only open to German lagers?
I asked this too. Bohemian is included as are German ales I think.
Actually... Here is the official thread http://www.nationalhomebrewclub.ie/forum/index.php?topic=9211.0 (http://www.nationalhomebrewclub.ie/forum/index.php?topic=9211.0)
I bought lager ingredients before I really looked at the style guidelines. The lager is from a country Germany probably conquered at some point so I'm justifying it that way!

Palmerstown pilsner ;)
Would you believe a man from palmerstown recently bought in auction the plans the nazi had for invading palmerstown as part of an Irish invasion...
I won't give it away before the competition, will be interesting to see if any judges even pick up on the subtle differences.
I'll bring along some chocolate malt and flaked barley that I don't need. If you're coming and you want some bring a few bags or something to hold it and you can help yourself. Might see if I can dig out a few yeast slants too.
Remember we agreed we're having the next meet on the afternoon of Saturday 27th June.
Ah shite I'm working that day :(
Ah jaysus delzep!
