Title: Craft Beer Pubs in Drogheda
Post by: phynes1 on May 19, 2015, 08:45:56 PM

Any Drogs on the forum? If so, where's the best selection of craft beers in Drogheda?

The Cross & Wm Cairnes probably have the best selection but I see a good few pubs with some craft options

Theres not too many craft beers in the pubs. I'd say some have have one or two bottles of something behind the counter hidden away apart from Cairnes and The Cross.

Another place to try could be the pheasant pub as it has the boyne brewhouse on tap (formerly McCabes garage).  Its only set up a couple of months and i haven't seen it elsewhere or even in bottles.  They had a Dortmund Export and a Sparkling Copper Ale last time i was in and i seen in the paper they have an APA with Australian hops now in.  They also have bottles of Carraig Brewing and something else.

Pheasant has Fran Well Rebel Red tap.
The black bull also has a decent bottle selection. I had bombers of Sierra Nevada southern hemisphere hop a few months ago.
Church is a nice spot. A few sightings of Jack Cody in the wild as well.
