Hi All.
What about March 22nd for the next meet up?
I can't make ir 22nd-30th, sorry.
Doubtful to make this one but would more than likely make the following week. My wife is expecting on Paddy's day so will have to see how things pan out!

I'm new to the brewing scene, and I know this has probably been asked before, but what's the protocol at these meet ups?
Do you bring a few of your own brews for tasting? If so, how many bottles would you need to go around?
Do the Franciscan Well mind you bringing in your own drink or do you have to smuggle it past the bouncer?? Chuck it over the fence; prison style ;D
I presume you would buy a few drinks from the house out of courtesy?
Anyway, March 22 should be ok for me, but I'm easy if you want to change it to suit others.

I'd say we will probably stick with the 22nd, as the following Friday is good friday, and the Easterfest on the Saturday. Best of luck with the impending birth, and you might get out to wet the babies head!
Congrats and best of luck Dara!
QuoteIf you have a beer or two, bring two bottles of each. That's usually safe.
The FW are fine with it, and you show your appreciation by buying a pint or two from the bar aswell.
Thanks Tube [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
Cheers lads,
Sure we might squeeze a pass for it! In the meantime I'm trying to organise an order from the HBC to cover my next twelve months brewing before the baby arrives. The mountain is going to have to come to Mohamed - Hope the baby sleeps and I've time to brew it all. ;)
Dara
I'll definitely make this one
I had a look at it but couldn't figure it out.
Maybe I need auth.
Volunteer me for it!
QuoteJohn stop using such technical terms!
Just had a look, Calendar person is Taf! But a load shared is a load halved and once you've had black you never go back, so I'll stick you in John in the next few mins.
I think we all know that I am rubbish at this type of admin stuff, but I think John is supremely qualified!
In relation to the meetup tonight, a lot of people have come back to me to say they can't make it, as they are either away or saving themselves for the Easterfest next weeken, but if there is still any interest at all I will be there. If worse comes to worse I get to have a few quiet pints.
If people are still definitely going, let me know please.
I'll be there. A baby boy,Naoise born on Tuesday. Mum and baby doing well so time to wet the head. I'll be in around 9ish. I've a first draft of an English iPa and my underwhelming nhc contest entrant if anyone wants to see if they can spot the defect.

Congratulations Dara! I mean re the baby rather than the comp entry! I wasn't going to head in, but will now. I reckon it could be an intimate affair, as most people can't make it tonight, so I haven't booked a table, but should be there in time to grab one.
Grand job. Sure a few quiet ones so. How bad.
Tube - not too obvious. Although my taste buds wouldn't be the best, I can definately taste it and suspected it before entry. As dissapointed as I was I think a fair mark given by the judges and good to see that they positively confirmed my suspission - nothing ventured nothing gained.
Congrats, on the new arrival Dara.
Hope the meet up went off well, I was thinking of ye this evening. I'd have loved to be able to make it - I'll definitely be along next month, and next Saturday afternoon as well hopefully if any one's heading in to the Eaterfest earlier on.
Congrats Data, I hope it wasn't too stressful for you! ;-)
Thanks lads. Just Taf and myself for the meetup so it was a quiet social one.
Tube - ok, the defect was not so subtle - like drinking cardboard :o Luckily Taf brought along a couple of heavy hopped ones to wash the taste away.
Unfortunately couldn't make this as I was working, and I wouldn't have had anything to bring as I'm still conditioining my heavily hopped Coopers IPA kit. Will hopefully be off for the next meet-up, and I'll hopefully get the chance to introduce myself at the Easter fest next weekend to those of you who will be there (will be there all day on Saturday myself).

I think you more than redeemed yourself with the Pale ale you had made with fullers yeast re-cultured from the bottle, as that was very nice.
