Title: More corny questions, how to replace this pressure relief valve
Post by: Paul B on June 12, 2015, 02:35:57 PM
The pressure relief valve that came on my second corny is in bad shape, the oring is ruined and the part where it rests on seems corroded:

I thought I could just replace the whole thing with one of these:

but the one from my other keg doesn't actually seem to fit/screw in to the lid.

Any suggestions?

That's a different looking lid to the ones I have, might be easier to buy a whole new lid possibly.

Have the same problem I have dropped an O ring that is a close fit in to the opening. and re fit the valve. The release is nearly at the top of its travel but still can be used. I haven't used it for beer yet but it has held the pressure for the last week. I have a few empty kegs so am not in any rush to use.

@dcalnan you should have brought the lid yesterday so someone could look at it. If it was from the HBC recently, you could get in touch, they might swap it.
